Breckenridge posted a 3-2 (26-24, 25-18, 19-25, 18-25, 15-13) Heart O’ Lakes Conference volleyball victory over Hawley on Thursday night. The Cowgirls (17-4) won for a ninth straight time and recorded their 13th win in their last 14 games. The Nuggets (10-5) saw their four match winning streak come to an end.
The Cowgirls were led by a tremendous serving night (99%) as six members of the team had perfect serving runs. Hailee Hanson (24/24, 2 aces) and Parker Yaggie (22/22, 2 aces) were the top servers. They were joined by Kolle Schuler (15/15, 1 ace), Julia Kleisman (10/10, 2 aces), Katlyn Kaehler (10/10) and Grace Nicholson (8/8). Sydni Roberts was 13-of-14 with 2 aces.
Hanson led the attack with 17 kills and Kaehler added a dozen. Erin Blaufuss registered 9 kills, while Kleisman and Jaelle Ernst added six kills each. Yaggie had 5 kills and 30 set assists, and Schuler added 13 set assists. Blaufuss and Ernst contributed 5 and 3 block assists, respectively.
Dig leaders were Roberts (30), Hanson (29) and Kaehler (28). Yaggie finished with 13 digs.
