Fergus Falls trailed Alexandria 2-0 at halftime and the Cardinals added 3 second half goals for a 5-0 victory over the Otters. "Alexandria is a tremendous team," stated Fergus Falls Head Coach Ben Jurgens. "They deserve their state ranking and top seed in our section."
Midway through the second half both teams started to sub out some starters in preparation for playoffs next week.
"Rylynn Krein was simply cold blooded in the game tonight, stopping her fifth penalty kick of the season, along with numerous other saves," said Coach Jurgens. "Lydia Johnson and Cierra Ochoa were solid along with their other two defensive outsides, Avery Tonneson and Ava Eklund."
Fergus Falls (5-8-2) will close out their regular season schedule with a 1:00pm contest Saturday against Walker-Hackensack-Akeley.
