“We played great volleyball tonight and these 5 set matches are going to be ours very, very soon,” commented Rothsay Head Coach Tanya Kort. “The girls really turned it around in set 3 by sending over aggressive, yet, smart third balls to challenge the Titans. That kind of play along with having our best passing night of the season gives us the confidence we need going into this week with two more good teams to face on the schedule.”
The Tigers were led by Elli Meyer (20/20 serving, 2 aces, 9 digs, 1 block, 3 kills, 47 assists), Gracyn Petersen (11/13 serving, 2 aces, 14 digs, 2 kills), Lisa Kjelgaard (7/8 serving, 15 digs), Brooklyn Weiers (10 kills, 2 blocks), Bethany Danielson (14/15 serving, 1 ace, 16 digs, 1 block, 11 kills), Savannah Sullivan (20/21 serving, 3 aces, 14 digs, 1 block, 17 kills), McKenzie Tillman (8/9 serving, 10 digs, 9 kills), Lauren Reber (7/7 serving, 2 digs) and Kali Brandt (1 dig, 1 kill).
Rothsay will travel to Moorhead on Tuesday to face Park Christian School and will host Hillcrest in a Little Eight Conference match on Thursday.
