The Pelican Rapids Boys Soccer team won their second match in a row after traveling to Prinsburg, MN and facing off against Central Minnesota Christian on Monday afternoon. Despite missing two starters from their attacking front three, the Vikings controlled much of the possession in the first half.
Abdinasir Omar opened the scoring when he hit a rocket passed the CMC goalie from 30 yards out. Near the end of the half, Sidiiq Farah and Irvin Villagomez won a pair of consecutive headers to connect with Omar who found a passing seam to Noe Moreno who scored making the score 2-0 at halftime.

In the second half, the continued to control possession and midway through the second half, Irvin Villagomez won a free kick near midfield. Villagomez sent the ball into the mixer where Abdirahman Khalif found space and slotted it past the CMC goalkeeper. The final score was 3-0 and Ivan Franco kept his second clean sheet of the season in goal.
The Vikings close out their season on Friday afternoon with a matinee performance vs Section rival Fergus Falls.
