Friday night the M State lady Spartans hosted College of DuPage in a non-conference match in Fergus Falls. DuPage recorded a 25-20 win in the first set, but M State evened the match with a 25-17 victory in the second set. DuPage then won 25-11 and 25-16 to close out the match in four sets.
Melissa Alvarez (13 kills) and Amanda Leibrock (12 kills) ran the attack for DuPage and the visitors recorded 10 ace serves, led by Cyd Martinez with 5. Martinez also had 26 digs.
Leaders for M State were Kaleigh Sip (9 kills), Faith Marion (8 kills, 21 digs), Kendra Emery (8 kills, 9 digs, 1 solo block), Ariana Noplos (4 kills, 2 solo blocks), Madi Foss (12 digs, 1 ace), Maddie Ballweg (10 digs) and Cassie Dahl (26 set assists, 9 digs). Kaleigh Peterson delivered a pair of solo blocks and had one block assist.
