It’s homecoming week in Fergus Falls and for the 63rd year the Otters hosted the John Hermes Cross Country Invitational on Thursday at Pebble Lake Golf Course.  Due to soft and wet conditions from recent heavy rain, the course had to be modified so runners stayed off the soggy spots. “The Boys’ varsity put on a stellar performance on a very difficult course,” said Head Coach Derek Meyer of the Otters.  “Sometimes you just have to race and the time won’t reflect how great you did.  This was one of those days.  No one had any flashy fast times, but we kept our position in the section.  Our top five runners placed in the top 10, individually.”

Jaden Miller (18:01.47) was second overall, Henry Greenagel (18:14.58) was third, and Matthew Tuel (18:17.91) was fourth.  Michael Schmidt (18:24.09) finished fifth, and Micah Mouser came in ninth and Tommy Erickson (19:57.75) came in 13th.  Samuel Rasmussen (20:06.56) cane in sixteenth overall.
