“It was a great day for Border West runners at Ortonville.  Our runners had several personal bests and took home a lot of hardware,” commented Buccaneers Head Coach Brittany Erickson.  “There were several key moments throughout the evening. Braylen Schmidt was battling tightness and soreness all race and within the last half mile, she focused in on the runner in front of her (approximately 30 meters) and caught up to them and held them off for the finish.

Jacob Blume and Carter Fickes started and finished strong in their race.  Wambdiwi Bedonie held off three runners for the majority of the race to place third. Our Junior High girls continue to dominate in their races.  We had some amazing fans, friends, and family come out to cheer!”
