Rockets Sweep Panthers in LEC Volleyball Match in Underwood

Underwood recorded their tenth win of the volleyball season with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-18) victory over Parkers Prairie in a Little Eight Conference match Thursday night on the Rockets home court.  “Parkers is a very solid team so coming away with a win was an accomplishment for us,” commented Head Coach Breck Grove of the Rockets.  “Our girls played a solid game with a balanced attack and a great sense of teamwork.”

The Rockets had a strong serving night, led by Kallyn Grove (13/13), Liz Lukken (11/11, 1 ace), Katie Hess (10/10, 1 ace), Ezrah Baker (13/14), Mily Albjerg (10/11) and Brooklyn Christianson (13/15).

Grove distributed 23 set assists, recorded 5 kills and 2 block assists, and contributed 8 digs.  Lukken (14 digs), Albjerg (11 digs), Baker (10 digs) and Christianson (8 digs) were also active defensively, along with Hess and Sia Olson with 6 digs apiece.

Attack leaders were Christianson (9 kills), Lukken (7 kills), Baker (7 kills) and Albjerg (6 kills).

Next week the Rockets go to Breckenridge on Monday, play Battle Lake at home on Tuesday, and go to Brandon-Evansville on Thursday.
