The Fergus Falls boys’ soccer team traveled to St. Cloud to face the Tech Tigers on Thursday night and the home team posted a 7-1 victory.  Aidan Godwin played in net the first half and saw several shots and heavy pressure throughout the half.  Tech scored 4 goals in the 1st half and had a 4-1 halftime advantage.  In the second half, Kile Beck took over in goal and had a good night, however, the Tigers were able to put away 3 more goals for the 7-1 victory.

Just before halftime, Jose Rodriguez of the Otters received the ball from Josiah Vigessa, then passed it to Jadan Heikes who sent it forward to Aiden Schake.  Schake passed the ball back to Rodriguez who took it in for the only goal of the night for Fergus Fall.

“The Otters were not able to find the back of the net in the second half, but they did control the ball better and time of possession was almost even over the final 40 minutes,” said Head Coach Joel Heikes.  “Ultimately, the Tigers speed was too much for us.”

Isaiah Lawson had the lone goal for the JV team off a nice cross pass from Noah Schlosser.  The Otters lost 9-1.  “The whole JV defense did a great job catching the Tigers offside 11 times in the match,” noted Coach Heikes.  “Leo Schierer had a great game in net as he faced many shots.”
