St. Cloud Apollo hosted Fergus Falls in Central Lakes Conference boys’ soccer on Tuesday with the Eagles in control from start to finish in a 7-0 victory over the Otters. “Apollo was a very scrappy team,” stated Fergus Falls Head Coach Joel Heikes. “The Otters played well and played very hard all game long, but in the end, Apollo was just too much for us.”
The Fergus Falls JV team lost 4-1 with Joseph Heikes scoring off a throw-in from Josh Horgen.
“The JV played a nice, complete game once again against a much bigger and older team,” noted Coach Heikes. “Apollo had 12 seniors on their JV squad.”
The Otters make a return trip to St. Cloud on Thursday night, this time to face Tech in another CLC contest.
