The Alexandria Boys Soccer team traveled down I-94 to Cold Spring on Tuesday evening where the Cardinals flew home with a 2-0 victory over the Rocori Spartans. The Gatorade of the Game went to Isak Rehn for a strong performance as a key defensive player who always fought to win every battle he was in during the entire 80 minutes of play.

The Cards came out strong and focused, finding their first goal in the 3rd minute of play, with Patrick Klecker securing a goal assisted by Otto Anderson. The intensity of the match remained as the Spartans and Cardinals moved the ball around the pitch with a battle for possession in the middle third. In the 19th minute, Henry Klecker was able to finish a corner kick ball for the Cardinals final goal of the match. The assist on that goal came from Otto Anderson again. The match remained balanced as the Cards started to see some injuries creep up, as a result many players saw playtime in the second half which assisted the team in a critical 2-point conference and section win over the Spartans.

The Cardinal Boys Soccer team are now 4-1-2 on the season and will look to host the St Cloud Apollo Eagles for a home field matchup on Thursday evening. Kick off will be at 7pm for a 2-point conference matchup.
