The Fergus Falls Girls Swim and Dive team faced a very strong Sartell team on Thursday night. Despite a tough loss, the Otters had many season bests including Estee VerSteeg in the 200 and 500 freestyle, Jerzie Smith in the 500 Freestyle, Aisling Cox in the 100 backstroke and 100 fly, Rylee Kubela in the 100 breaststroke, Alexis Thoma, Hannah Fear and Evie VerSteeg in the 200 IM, Karlie Petersen in the 100 freestyle, Olivia Jensen in the 200 Freestyle, and Mashayla Mau in diving.
“Also, we had a few girls swim brand new events like Alexis Wellman in the 200 IM and Ella Kwapinski in the 100 Breaststroke, both of whom had a fantastic first showing,” reported Head Coach Rachel Cox. “We look forward to being back at KSS to compete against Rocori on Thursday.”
