Otter Girls Sweep Tennis Match with Sauk Rapids-Rice
The Fergus Falls girls’ tennis team hosted Central Lakes Conference opponents from Sauk Rapids-Rice. The Otters made a clean sweep of the match, winning 7-0. We had great tennis on all of our courts today. Today we were challenged on some courts to keep our level of play up and continue to play clean tennis. The girls did a nice job of accomplishing that.
We had some closer wins from Layla Zosel and Kaia Ness in singles and at 2nd doubles with Hannah Anderson and Clara Stephan who are really striking the ball well. It's a great time of the season to see so many of our girls playing good tennis. We hope to continue to improve as we push to post-season in early October.
On top of our varsity wins today, we had nice JV wins in doubles from Maddie Lien/Kylie King, Julianna Flugstad/Siiri Smestad, Julie Hajicek/Annie Mayer, Raquel Prody/Avary Bartholomay and in singles from Ali Bredenberg and Annie Proudfoot.
On Thursday, the Otters travel to Rocori for a tough CLC and section matchup at 4:30.
