Fergus Falls dropped a non-conference volleyball match to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton on Monday night, losing in 3 sets, 25-11, 25-19, 25-17.  “We lost to a very scrappy team,” said Head Coach Sabrina Noon of the Otters.  “They did a great job of not letting the ball hit the floor.  We had some great moments in this match, and then some moments where we ran out of steam.”

Stat leaders were Grey Korinek (8 kills, 2 assisted blocks), Karyssa Eberle (17 set assists, 5 digs, 2 assisted blocks), Brynn Sternberg (5 kills, 2 aces, 14 digs, 2 assisted blocks), Bella Anderson (4 kills, 6 assisted blocks), Macee Butler (12 digs, 1 ace), Brook Zierden (3 digs, 1 kill, 1 ace) and Rachel Debrito (2 assisted blocks).

“Our team did a great job defensively, adjusting to their hitters and keeping the ball in play.  Our hitters made some really great contact with the ball, but still working on our consistency with our hits,” said Coach Noon.  “Our passers did a great job of creating a lot of offensive opportunities.  Our team is becoming more focused and now we are focusing on our intensity.”

The Otters have Central Lakes Conference matches at home on Tuesday with St. Cloud Apollo and on Thursday with St. Cloud Tech.
