The Alexandria Cardinals boys’ soccer team kicked off the 3rd Annual Youth Soccer Night at Viking Bank Field with a defining victory over the Green Wave from East Grand Forks, 8-0. The Cardinals came out very strong when the whistle blew, controlling the ball and playing decisively for the first 20 minutes, however, after finding the first three goals, the pace seemed to slow down as the Cards closed out the first half with a 3-0 lead. After some discussion at the half, the Cardinals came out committed to playing their game and it showed as the team found another 5 goals, ending with an 8-0 victory.

The Gatorade of the Game went to Graham Odland who found his first Varsity goal and assist of his high school career during the match.
The Cardinal Boys Soccer team is now 3-1-2 on the season and will look to travel down I94 for a contest with the Rocori Spartans on Tuesday evening.
