The Milbank Grandstay Cross Country meet was held in some stormy weather on Saturday, with Flandreau winning the girls’ race with 30 points, edging out the Breckenridge/Wahpeton Storm with 31. The host Milbank boys’ team was first with a perfect score of 15, sweeping the first five individual places in the race. Complete Results can be found at:

Border West was among the teams competing. “There were some delays with races and start times due to the lightning, but we still managed to run and have improved times,” stated Head Coach Brittany Erickson of the Buccaneers. “Kyle Kremer shaved off over 4 minutes, Braylen Schmidt 2 minutes, Wambdiwi Bedonie 3 minutes and Julia Schmidt 90 seconds. We had faster average mile times all across the board. Our Junior High girls’ team placed 2nd overall. Runners that earned medals were Julia Schmidt, Karissa Anderson, Raelyn Wiegman and Jacob Blume.”
