Fergus Falls traveled to Marshall to participate in their 2-day volleyball tournament over the weekend.  The Otters played a total of 5 matches, finishing with one victory.  They lost to Lakeville North 2-0 (25-8, 25-12), Andover 2-1 (25-12, 22-25, 15-8), River Lakes 2-0 (25-8, 25-12) and Lesueur-Henderson 2-0 (25-20, 25-21) and defeated Yellow Medicine East 2-0 (25-15, 25-13).

“This is always a great tournament to attend,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Sabrina Noon.  “There are a lot of teams and big schools that attend this tournament.  The competition is extremely high and it is a fun challenge to have our girls take on.  It was a great learning experience and we were able to try out a lot of different rotations.”

Leaders for the Otters were Macee Butler (32 digs, 3 aces), Brynn Sternberg (19 digs, 10 kills, 6 assisted blocks, 1 solo block, 1 ace), Hannah Johnson (18 digs), Karyssa Eberle (16 digs, 43 set assists, 12 kills, 9 assisted blocks, 2 solo blocks), Brook Zierden (2 aces, 9 digs, 1 solo block, 1 kill), Bella Anderson (19 kills, 8 assisted blocks, 4 solo blocks, 1 ace), Grey Korinek (16 kills, 3 assisted blocks, 1 solo block) and Rachel Debrito (10 kills, 8 assisted blocks, 5 solo blocks).

“This weekend definitely made us stronger as a team and we look forward to continuing to work on our consistency throughout the games,” added Coach Noon.  “This tournament showed that in moments, we can play with just about anyone, but it is keeping our focus and staying disciplined on the court that will be the key to our future success.”
