Underwood traveled to Ada for the Ruth Hayden Tournament of Roses volleyball tournament on Saturday.  The Rockets went 3-2 in their five matches, losing to Nevis 21- (25-9, 23-25, 15-7) and DGF (25-23, 25-23) and beating Red Lake County Central 2-0 (26-24, 25-13), East Grand Forks 2-0 (25-20, 25-20) and Sebeka 2-1 (16-25, 25-23, 15-10).

“We were challenged as we saw tough competition,” said Head Coach Breck Grove.  “Our team struggled a little at the beginning of the day, but as the day went on, it was good to see our team bounce back, find some rhythm, and play at a higher level that we did earlier in the day.  We will continue to work on playing consistent volleyball as we move forward with our season.”

The Rockets were led by Kallyn Grove (78 assists, 36 digs, 30/31 serving, 23 kills, 7 blocks), Liz Lukken (37 digs, 24/25 serving, 2 aces, 37 kills, 1 block), Mily Albjerg (26 digs, 43/45 serving, 5 aces, 16 kills, 5 block assists), Brooklyn Christianson (35 digs, 43/44 serving, 1 ace, 19 kills, 4 blocks) and Ezrah Baker (25 digs, 42/47 serving, 2 aces, 20 kills, 2 block assists).

Underwood travels to Wheaton for their next match on Tuesday.
