The Rocori Spartans hosted the Fergus Falls Otters in a Central Lakes Conference volleyball match on Thursday night with the Spartans posting a 3-0 (25-17, 25-7, 25-17) victory over the Otters.

“Tonight we had a few ups and downs,” said Head Coach Sabrina Noon of Fergus Falls.  “We changed a couple things up tonight with our rotation and you could tell we were working out some of the kinks.  Overall, our girls are doing a great job being flexible with their positions.  They are adapting to playing next to different girls and being extremely positive with the process.”

Fergus Falls was led by Karyssa Eberle with 20 set assists and 2 kills, Rachel Debrito with 8 kills, a solo block and an assisted block, and Bella Anderson with 7 kills and one solo block.

Defensively, Macee Butler and Brynn Sternberg had 8 digs apiece, while Brook Zierden added 6 digs.  Sternberg and Zierden also had ace serves in the match.

“We had some great moments with some goals we had set within our team, but we still struggle with moments of panic on the court,” noted Coach Noon.  “Rocori has some great hitters on their team.  We were able to slow down some of their hitters by getting touches by our blocks and our back row made some really nice digs.  We are still looking for that consistency and a little grit to get over some of our slumps.  We have our Marshall Tournament coming up where we will get lots of playing time in and see lots of great teams.”
