“This day was a great one to compete and a great day to be an Otter,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Derek Meyer.  “This course is a challenging one and can put you in your place if you’re not ready.  Our team came ready.  Jaden Miller turned in a great performance, taking over the race and executing his race plan.  All the guys had solid performances and should be proud of how they ran.  We will look forward to next week, traveling to Little Falls.  This course will also be the section course.  It will be an important preview for later in the season.”

Jaden Miller (17:24.8) won the individual title, Henry Greenagel (18:16.9) came in fourth, and Matthew Tuel (18:34.4) was sixth.  Logan Bredenberg (18:57.2) and Micah Mouser (19:23.7) were 11th and 13th, respectively.  Rounding out the seven varsity runners were Michael Schmidt (19:33.1) in 15th place and Tommy Erickson (19:46.7), finishing 21st.

For the second place Alexandria Cardinals, Tom Wilmesmeier (17:43.4) was third, Landon Runge (18:46.7) was seventh and Throck Lehmann (18:50.4) was eighth.  Karl Franson (19:42.3) came in 20th and Kyle Jahner (19:52.8) was 22nd.

Jonah Sharp (20:11.9) was the first Frazee runner to cross the finish line, coming in 27th and Cael Pausch (20:34.1) was next in 29th place, followed closely by Brady Borah (20:47.3) in 30th place.  Rounding out the varsity scoring for the Hornets were Alex Helmers (22:45.0) and Tyden Schaefer (23:55.2) in 42nd and 47th place, respectively.
