The 2022 season was a successful one for the Fergus Falls Girls Swimming and Diving team as they placed second at both the True Team and Section 8A Tournaments, and sent 5 swimmers to state in 4 individual events and a relay.  In 2023, Elyse Adams (Diving), Aisling Cox (100 Butterfly, 100 Backstroke, Relays) and Daphnie Nadgwick (Relays) will lead the Otters as team captains.

In addition to the captains, Head Coach Rachel Cox will be looking to Estee VerSteeg (200 IM, 500 Freestyle, Relays), Alexis Wellman (50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, Relays), Karlie Petersen (50 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, Relays), Mayah Fear (200 IM, 100 Freestyle, Relays) and Mashayla Mau (Diving) to perform at a high level.  Adams, Mau and Elsa Bailly (Diving) will give the Otters a strong presence on the diving board.

“We’d like to send a big group to the state tournament, both in individual events and at least one relay,” said Coach Cox.

Jen Jensen, Mallory Jarvi and Andrew Kowalski will serve as assistants.

Coach Cox says Sartell and Alexandria are two of the top teams in the Central Lakes Conference with Park Rapids and Alexandria at the top of Section 8A.
