The Underwood volleyball team swept Ashby 25-8, 25-11, 25-9 in a Little Eight Conference match on Thursday night. “I’m proud of my entire team for playing together and remaining consistent throughout the match,” said Head Coach Breck Grove of the Rockets.
The Rockets served up 10 aces in the match. Top servers were Kallyn Grove (14/14, 2 aces), Mily Albjerg (14/15, 4 aces) and Ezrah Baker (11/12, 3 aces).
Grove had 21 set assists and 4 kills. Liz Lukken and Albjerg led the attack at the net with 12 kills and 7 kills, respectively, while Emma Dirkman added 4 kills.
Dig leaders were Brooke Christianson (7) and Sia Olson (6).
Underwood (3-0) will travel to Ada-Borup for tournament action on Saturday, while Ashby (0-3) participates in the Montevideo Tournament.
