The Fergus Falls Otters boys’ soccer team traveled to Brainerd and were defeated by the Warriors by a score of 7-2 on Tuesday. The game started well as the Otters scored at the 5 minute mark.  Shane Zierden threw the ball into Jose Rodriguez who put a shot on which Braden Albert followed for the goal.

The game went back and forth for a while after that until Brainerd scored at the 28 minute mark. “The Otters kind of fell apart allowing the Warriors to score 6 goals in 10 minutes,” reported Fergus Falls Head Coach Joel Heikes. “We went into the half down 6-1. The second half looked much better with Fergus attacking the ball more efficiently. Brainerd scored one more time. In the 73rd minute we had the ball deep in the offensive zone when a Brainerd player was called for a hand ball in the box resulting in a penalty kick. Jose took the PK and scored.”

Aiden Godwin played in net the first half and Kile Beck played the second half.
