M State recorded their first win of the volleyball season on Friday night, beating Anoka-Ramsey 3-0 (25-11, 15-14, 25-21). The Spartans featured a balanced hitting attack led by Madi Foss and Faith Marion with 7 kills each. Kaleigh Sip, Kendra Emery and Kaleigh Peterson added 6 kills apiece. Sip also contributed 2 blocks, while Emery and Peterson chipped in with one block each.
The lady Spartans had a good serving night at 94.6% with 7 aces. Cassie Dahl distributed 26 set assists and added 8 digs. Foss and Maddie Ballweg each had 12 digs, Marion added 7 and Avery Knutson had 6 digs.
M State begins a stretch of 8 straight road matches when they go to St. Cloud on Wednesday night.
