The Fergus Falls girls’ soccer team fell behind 2-0 at the half and wound up with a 5-1 loss at Sauk Rapids on Tuesday.  The lone goal for the Otters was an ‘own goal’ scored by the Storm.  Ella Starzl took a shot that was stopped by the Sauk Rapids goalie, however she failed to clear the rebound and it wound up in the net.

“We had a slow start and spotted them too many goals before we started playing,” commented Fergus Falls Head Coach Ben Jurgens.  “Better effort in the second half, but still giving up too many through balls that led to breakaways.  We need to clog those lanes and transition back to offense.  We had several quality shots in the second half, after not having a shot in the first half.”

Fergus Falls (1-1-1) will host Sartell on Thursday at 7:00pm at the Otter Stadium.
