13 Teams Open Cross Country Season at Morris Invitational

The Border West Buccaneers were among the 13 teams participating in the first Cross Country Meet of the season on Monday in Morris.  Sauk Centre won the boys’ varsity race with 41 points and Lac qui Parle Valley was second with a score of 79.  The girls’ title went to New London-Spicer with 47 points.  West Central Area came in second with a score of 88.

“I'm extremely proud of the effort of our runners for the first two weeks of the season,” said Border West Head Coach Brittany Erickson.  “We opened up with our first meet in Morris and had a good showing of times and performances.”
