The Fergus Falls boys Otters soccer team hosted Crookston Monday night. The JV lost a tough one 5-2 with Zane Kollman and Aidan Godwin scoring the two goals for Fergus. The varsity won 3-0 with Kile Beck earning the shutout in net.

The first goal happened just 6 minutes into the game when Jadan Heikes recovered the ball from a Crookston player and passed to Jose Rodriguez who pushed it through to Shane Zierden for the goal. Fergus got its second goal at the 19 minute mark when Jadan Heikes again stole the ball from a Crookston player and gave Braden Albert a great through ball. Braden did a great job finishing to make the score 2-0. Shane Zierden finished the scoring with an unassisted goal at the 63rd minute.

"Our defense did a much better job controlling and clearing the ball this game," commented Head Coach Joel Heikes. "The Otters possessed the ball quite well, maintaining possession 60% of the time. Kile stopped all 13 shots he faced."
