Replacing Brylie Schultz, Zaundra Determan, Anna Bright and Megyn Kelly will not be an easy task for the Wheaton/Herman-Norcross volleyball team, but fourth-year Head Coach Ann Dreke is looking forward to the season. “We are looking forward to a fresh start. We have a great positive vibe going and hope to continue that throughout the season. We are missing some key players from last year, but with that we have new faces and a new feeling this season.”
Returning letter winners include seniors Bria Lundquist (Right Side) and Jordyn Perry (Setter) and juniors Reagan Spilde (Outside Hitter) and Emily Drewicke (Defensive Specialist). Perry and Madison Koch will serve as team captains.
Dreke is also expecting varsity contributions from senior Sadie Vipond (Middle Hitter), sophomore Hallie Reinart (Outside Hitter) and Claire Rinke (Right Side).
Dreke will be assisted by Jaylene Schmidt (JV/B Squad), Emily Shay (C Squad), Shayna Yost (Junior High) and Mallory Mosloski (Junior High).
Coach Dreke says Parkers Prairie, Henning, Underwood, Breckenridge and BBE are all teams to be reckoned with in Section 6A with the Panthers and Rockets at the top of the Little Eight Conference.
