With ten returning letter winners, including seven seniors, the Alexandria girls’ tennis team is poised to make a strong run in the Central Lakes Conference and Section 8AA this fall. Head Coach Nick Jansen is in his third year at the helm and will be assisted by Jackie Stifter, Amy Jost and David LeVahn.
“We have strong leadership and experience, but we need to improve in finishing close matches against top competition,” states Jansen.
Returning letter winners are seniors Ayla Rolin, Marisa Rousu, Kylie Lattimer, Jalyn Halverson, Madalyn Husfeldt, Meredith Sundby and Riyada Copeland, and juniors Faith Odland, Katelyn Thiery and Morgan Aure.
The lady Cards are also expecting sophomores Carleigh Lueck and Cadence Simon to break into the varsity lineup.
Jansen sees Bemidji, Brainerd and St. Cloud as the top teams in the CLC and Section 8AA.
