The Sebeka Trojans were 4-6 a year ago in a season that included the first playoff victory as Sebeka Football in nearly 20 years. Replacing graduating seniors Hank Tellers (QB/LB) and Levi Stevens (OL/LB) won’t be easy, however, several experienced players return. Tanner Burgau and Bryson Vasey will serve as Co-Head Coaches. They are assisted by Tom Smith, Casey Clark and Thor Johnson.
Returning starters include seniors Gabe Clark (OL/DL), Teagen Lee (OL/DL), Brayden Brinkman (TE/DB) and Zach Thornton (FB/DB), and juniors Tegan Kempenich (OL/DL), Mason Plautz (HB/LB) and Travis Preston (HB/LB). Senior Brandon Morter (OL/DL) and freshmen Max Lake (QB) and Gene Morter (FB/LB) will also be called upon to contribute at the varsity level.
“We are looking to have a competitive season with a good amount of experience returning along the O-line and D-line,” said Coaches Burgau and Vasey. “Verndale, Ogilive and Nevis are the top teams in Section 5-9 Man.”
