Fergus Falls Wins Twice in Pool Play at 13U State Babe Ruth Tournament

The Fergus Falls 13U Babe Ruth Baseball team won the first two games of pool play on Thursday at the 13U State Tournament being played at Centennial Park in Moorhead.  Fergus Falls beat Menahga 15-1 in the first game and then knocked off Perham by the score of 12-0.

Tanner Donaghue pitched 4 2/3 innings in the opener, allowing 4 hits and no runs, while striking out 5 batters.  Kaiden Reque, a draftee from PRBA, pitched one inning, giving up one run on no hits and striking out three.

In game two, Ryder Baune, a drafte from PRBA, threw 5 innings on 60 pitches, and gave up one hit, while striking out six.  Eli Fullhart and Lucas Formo both drove in 3 runs in the game.

Fergus Falls will continue pool play with a pair of games on Friday, facing Waite Park at 10:00am and Little Falls at 3:00pm.
