Minnesota has a strong tradition of American Legion Baseball.  American Legion Baseball is a national institution founded in 1925.   Players must be 19 years of age or under to participate.  Participating teams play by the American Legion Code of Sportsmanship recited before each contest:  I Will:  keep the rules, keep faith with my teammates, keep my temper, keep myself fit, keep a stout heart in defeat, keep my pride under in victory, keep a sound soul, a clean mind and a healthy body.  Famous players such as Johnny Bench, Yogi Berra, Ted Williams, Greg Maddux and Frank Robinson played American Legion Baseball.   

Tournament Teams in 2023 include Alexandria, Bemidji, Brainerd, Detroit Lakes, East Grand Forks, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and the host Perham Buzz.
