OTC 15U Black swept Frazee in a Babe Ruth baseball double header on Monday, winning 6-1 and 8-1.  Kale Misegades (7IP, 1R, 2H, 11K, 1BB) turned in a strong performance on the mound for OTC in game one, while game two saw a strong defense behind the pitching of Dawson Bushman (3IP, 2K, 1R, 1H).

OTC ran wild on the bases in the opener, recording 7 steals with Misegades racking up two of them.  Ayden Olson went 2-for-3 at the plate.  Kaleb Hammes and Misegades each drove in runs during the 3-run seventh inning for the Dawgs.

OTC scored four runs in the third inning of game two with Hammes, Misegades and Bushman driving in runs.  The Dawgs were once again aggressive on the base paths, recording 7 steals.  Misegades led them with two steals.

“It was a great day for a double header sweep today,” said OTC 15U Black Head Coach Evan Meece.  “Kale commanded the strike zone so well and was dominant.  Our defense was solid behind him as well.  I was happy with the way we responded to last week and started to build momentum into the state and regional tournament.”

OTC will travel to Evansville on Thursday to face PRBA Blue before heading to Fergus Falls for the state tournament on Friday and Saturday.

The Dawgs will host the Midwest Plains Regional Tournament at Tony Kawlewski Field in Henning July 27-31.  This tournament will feature teams from North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Minnesota.
