The Fergus Falls 14’s knocked off OTC Black 9-1 on Thursday.  Fergus Falls took a 3-0 lead after two innings with Nolan Felstul delivering a sacrifice fly, Jacob Jenc a RBI double and Brady Krein a run-scoring single.  OTC couldn’t come back from the early deficit.

Fergus Falls scored five runs in the fifth inning, capitalizing on two OTC errors, a walk, a fielder’s choice and a double by Felstul.  Caleb Fronning (5IP, 7K, 1BB, 1H, 1R) was the winning pitcher and Josh Horgen threw two innings of relief.  Krein led Fergus Falls with two hits in four at bats.

Ryan Despard and Beck Thorson each managed one hit to lead OTC 15U Black.

“We didn’t have the energy on either side of the ball tonight,” said OTC Head Coach Evan Meece.  “We weren’t prepared for a ball game and came out super flat.  We need to clean up the defensive side of things a lot moving forward.  Offensively, we’ll take a look at our approaches and make the adjustments for the rest of the season.”

OTC will head to Frazee on Monday and face PRBA Blue in Evansville on Thursday to finish off the regular season, before heading into the state tournament next Friday.
