The Ottertail Central 15U Black Dawgs swept a double header from Breckenridge on Monday night, winning 5-1 and 8-1.  “We were led by some very good starts on the mound today from Dawson Bushman (6.1IP, 5K, 2H, 1R) and Rowan Finseth (4IP, 6K, 1BB, 0R, 0H),” noted Head Coach Evan Meece.  “Quenton Beske and Ryan Despard came in very effectively in relief, too.  I’m very proud of the way they attacked the strike zone and kept hitters off balance.  We were solid defensively and aggressive on the base paths for an all-around, good night.”

OTC stole eight bases in the opener, led by Kale Misegades with 4 steals.  Despard, Ayden Olson, Bushman, Olin Link, Max Mekalson, Finseth and Misegades each had one hit.  Jack Ekren (3IP, 4H, 4R, 4K) took the loss for Breckenridge.

Despard, Finseth, Beske and Bushman each drove in runs in a 5-run third inning to pace OTC in game two.  Ayden Olson contributed a RBI single in the first inning. Tucker Snyder (2IP, 1H, 3R, 4K) took the loss for Breckenridge.  They were led at the plate by Connor Ernst (1-2).  OTC didn’t commit a single error in the game.
