The Breckenridge Bucks scored single runs in the fifth and sixth innings and recorded 11 hits in their 2-1 win over the Dumont Saints on Sunday. The Bucks survived 4 errors in the field and Mitch Porter struck out 7 batters in 7 innings on the mound to earn the victory. Hunter Wamre recorded the final 6 outs, all by strike out, to collect the save.
Wamre was also the leading hitter for the Bucks, coming up with 3 hits in the game. Porter and Jared Aamold knocked in the runs for Breckenridge. Aamold’s RBI came on a solo home run in the fifth. Porter drove in Jack Hiedeman who led off the sixth inning with a double.
The Bucks play Dent at home on Wednesday at 7:30pm.
