Kathryn VanArragon of Blaine and Reese McCauley of Simley put some distance between themselves and the rest of the Girls Class AAA field on Tuesday at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids. VanArragon fired an amazing 66 and McCauley an impressive 68 to set the pace.
Maple Grove holds the team lead with a 315, five strokes ahead of second place Wayzata (320). Minnetonka is third with a 331 and Detroit Lakes is fourth with a 333.
The Lakers were led by a 76 form junior Hanna Knoop. Rounding out the scoring for the Lakers were Laura Syltie (82), Sydney Miller (86), Sophie Christianson (89), Tatum Gatheridge (89) and Jaycie Sliper (99).
Alexandria has three girls’ competing. First round scores included a 76 from Hannah Boraas, an 85 from Aisling O’Connor and a 93 from Rachel Bowen.
