Alexandria's Elise Maagard placed seventh in the Discus (114-11) and Kaija Schneider was seventh in the Long Jump (16-02.50) at the Class AA Girls State Track and Field meet on Thursday at St. Michael-Albertville. The lady Cards also qualified Kasey Soderholm for the 800 meter run (6th - 2:17.36) finals and the 4x200 relay team (5th - 1:45.26) of Kaia Schneider, Elena Fuglestad, Kaia Emter and Alison Krasky for the finals on Saturday.
The Alexandria boys qualified Otto Anderson (6th - 39.77) for the finals in the 300 meter hurdles and their 4x400 relay team (3:27.81) will also compete in the finals on Saturday. Anderson is joined by Elliott Kent, Owen Draper and Riley Wagner on that relay team.
