Fergus Falls sophomore Estee Versteeg was fourth in the 1600 meter run (5:16.45) and eighth-grader Violet McConn took third place in the 400 meter dash (1:00.90), just missing out on a state berth.  “Both young athletes had season best times in their respective events and got a great taste of competing at a championship level,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Niki Welde.  “I look forward to seeing them race again next year with that experience under their belt.”

Other season bests were turned in by Macee Butler (11th – 32-02.50) and Brook Zierden (15th – 30-07.00) in the shot put, Cassie Wellman (7th – 5:28.40) in the 1600 and Ella Metcalf (17th – 7-08.00) in the Pole Vault.
