Eli Larson fanned six batters in 3 innings of work on Tuesday, leading Border West to an 8-1 win over Hancock in the elimination round of the Section 6A baseball playoffs. Larson also had a pair of hits for the Buccaneers. Kevin Casper pitched 3 innings and struck out 3, while knocked in 3 runs at the plate.
Davin Rose (3IP, 1K) took the loss for the Owls. Gunnar Curfman and Dain Schroeder led Hancock with 2 hits apiece and Hudson VerSteeg drove in their only run.
Border West will now face Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg on Thursday.
