The Fergus Falls Hurricanes traveled to Moorhead on Sunday to play the Dilworth Raildogs at Matson Field.  The two teams stranded 28 base runners between them, as Fergus Falls posted a 9-5 victory, improving to 3-0 on the season.

The Canes scored two runs in the second inning as Carter Thielke walked to lead off the inning and one out later, Thomas Bosek homered.  In the bottom of the inning, Connor Robley walked, took second on a ground out, went to third on an errant pick of attempt and scored on a passed ball.  Fergus Falls increased their lead to 4-1 with a pair of third inning runs.  Sean McGuire led off the inning with a double and scored on a base hit by Alex Hensch.  A hit batter and a walk loaded the bases and a walk to Alex Hexum brought in the fourth run of the game for the Canes.  Two runs in the bottom of the third for Dilworth brought the Raildogs back to within one run at 4-3.  Will Bachmann was hit by a pitch with one out and scored ahead of Zach Schroeder when Schroeder went deep.  Fergus Falls scored 3 runs in the fourth, taking a 7-3 lead.  Arik Heacox was hit by a pitch, McGuire walked, both runners advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Hensch and Heacox scored on a balk, which moved McGuire to third base. McGuire then scored on a wild pitch and after a fly out, Darin Stanislawski and Carter Thielke drew walks and Hexum knocked in Stanislawski with a base hit.  A run in the bottom of the fourth put the score at 7-4.  Andrew Linn drew a lead-off walk and scored on a base hit by Bachmann.  In the sixth, Fergus Falls pushed across their final two runs.  Hensch and Tosten Mann delivered back-to-back singles to start the inning and a Stanislawski single scored Hensch.  Tosten then came across the plate on a base hit by Bosek.  The final run of the game was scored the Raildogs in the seventh inning.  Two singles and a double by Sterling Haphey scored on run, however, the second runner was thrown out at the plate.

The Canes were led by McGuire (1-3, 2B, 2R, 2BB, HBP), Mann (2-4, 2B, BB, HBP, R), Bosek (2-5, HR, 3RBI) and Hensch (2-3, 2R).  McGuire (2IP, 0H, 0R, 1K, 0BB) got the win in relief of Thielke, and Stanislawski (3IP, 4H, 1ER, 6K, 3BB) earned the save.

Leading hitters for the Raildogs were Matt Fiechtner (2-4. 2HBP) and Schroeder (2-4, HR, BB, 2RBI).
