Zach Mrnak had a pair of hits, with a single and a towering solo home run to lead off the third inning. Nolan Steidl had a double with an RBI, and Dylan Debilzen had a triple and 3 runs batted in.
“Our defense played well behind our pitchers and Dylan Debilzen shined in center with a great catch in the second inning, ranging back on a ball hit well to the gap,” reported Coach Denny.
The Panthers JV team was firing on all cylinders, putting up 15 hits while also getting a combined no-hitter in their 15-0 win. AJ Woodworth threw 3 shutout innings with 3 strikeouts, while Ben Wagner came in and pitched 2 shutout innings with 2 strikeouts. Neither pitcher issued a walk in the game.
