On Friday the Parkers Prairie baseball team finished off a suspended game with Menahga by winning, 13-3, and then rallied to win the regularly scheduled game against the Braves, 10-5.

Seth Sansness took the mound to close out the suspended game and he and our defense made quick work of the Braves as he attacked the strike zone, giving up no runs and striking out a pair of batters,” reported Panthers Head Coach Derek Denny.  “Offensively, we added a few runs to our lead before finish this one off.  Dylan Debilzen and Shane Hanson at the defensive highlights.  Debilzen made a spectacular diving catch in center in the bottom of the sixth, and Hanson caught a tough catcher pop up right against the fence to put this one in the books.”

Game two was a gritty come from behind win for the Panthers.  Debilzen came on in relief to pitch out of a bases loaded jam in the fourth inning.  Parkers was down 5-2 in the bottom of the fourth when they tied it up.  In the fifth they pushed ahead the go ahead run, taking a 6-5 lead, and then added four runs in the sixth to secure the victory.  Debilzen led the offensive attack with a pair of singles and a triple.  Joe Johnson had a pair of singles and a double and David Revering had two singles.

The JV team shutout Menahga 4-0, using 7 different pitchers in 7 innings.

The Junior High continued their winning ways, taking two from Menahga.  They took a commanding 9-2 lead in the opener and then had to hold on for a 9-7 win.  They won game two, 14-4.
