The Hawley softball team posted a pair of Heart O’ Lakes Conference wins over Pelican Rapids on Thursday, winning 15-7 and 5-0. “Hawley played very well in the field and their pitchers were throwing strikes,” said Pelican Rapids Head Coach Derrick Nelson.
Hawley jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the opening game, but the Vikings cut the lead to 10-4 with a 4-run bottom of the third. The Nuggets got those four runs back in the top of the fourth and went on to victory.
