Parkers Prairie opened the week with a 20-3 rout of Sebeka on Tuesday.  Sebeka took a 2-0 lead on a 2-run double in the first inning.  After that, however, Holden Truax was dominant on the mound as he struck out 9 batters and walked 4 in his 5 innings of work.  Cohen Noska came on in relief in the sixth and dispatched the Trojans on 4 pitches to finish the game.

Noska also had a monster day at the plate as he hit two home runs with a total of 5 runs batted in.  Nolan Steidl had a pair of singles, a double and 2 RBI, and Shane Hanson doubled and singled with 4 RBI on the day.  All told, the Panthers pounded out 13 hits.

The Panther defense played clean and Chase Thieschafer had the defensive play of the game when he came off the bench and picked a sharp ground ball at third base, firing a strike to Zach Mrnak at first base to retire the hitter.

The junior varsity team moved their win streak to 8 as they won in 6 innings, 12-2.  Leighton Gesell pitched 4 solid innings with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks.  Justin Olson came in and shut it down the last two innings with 3 strikeouts and non walks.  Offensively, Ben Wagner, Gesell and Hudson Truax recorded 2 hits each.

The junior high boys won two more, beating Sebeka 6-2 and 6-4.

The Panthers will play a 7:00pm game Thursday against Ottertail Central in Henning.
