Tyson Misegades surrendered one run on four hits over seven innings of pitching on Monday, leading the Ottertail Central baseball team to a 5-1 win over Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale. Misegades struck out one batter and walked one. The Bulldogs scored a run in the first inning and then put up four runs in the fourth.
Misegades said, “Having a defense like ours makes pitching a little bit easier. I know I just have to throw a mix of pitches for strikes and the defense will probably make the play.”
Misegades and Noah Link each managed multiple hits for OTC and the Bulldogs stole 9 bases during the game.
In the four-run fourth inning, Owen Harig, Misegades and Lane Dilly all drove in runs.
The Bulldogs will play Menahga at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo at 3:00pm Tuesday.
