The Ottertail Central softball team lost both ends of a Thursday double header in Bertha.  Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale won game one, 12-1, and took game two, 12-4.

Sophie Akerman singled and scored the lone run of the first game for OTC in the first inning.  Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale tied the game in the second and sealed the deal as they were able to put runs on the board throughout the game.  Liz Lukken, Dealia Grabe and Akerman had the hits for the Bulldogs.  Akerman took the loss in the circle.

The Bulldogs came around offensively in game two, collecting 9 hits, however, Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale continued their big offensive day and were able to take advantage of sever walks by OTC pitchers.  Brooklyn Christianson (2-2) led the Bulldogs at the plate.  Lukken, Hannah Radzwill, Akerman, Kenady Cameron, Emma Dirkman, Esme Larsen and Kaislyn Bunkowski all collected two hits for the Bulldogs.  Cameron pitched 4 innings, giving up 8 runs on 5 hits, with 9 walks and 2 strikeouts.

The Bulldogs will host Rothsay on Monday, head to Pillager for a double header on Tuesday and then end the regular season with New York Mills on Thursday.
