Ottertail Central parlayed 9 hits and 7 walks into 12 runs on Friday as they ended the week with a solid 12-2 win over the Breckenridge Cowboys. Kale Misegades (3IP, 3H, 2R, 2K) was the winning pitcher. He helped his own cause by getting on base 3 times, stealing 3 bases and scoring 2 runs.
Gavin Pausch ended the game in walk-off fashion when he doubled in Tyson Misegades to enforce the mercy 10-run rule in the fifth inning. Tyson pitched the final two innings, striking out two batters and earning the save.
OTC junior Lane Dilly said, “This was a good game for us. We played with confidence and played fast.”
OTC has a big week ahead as they will host Bertha-Hewitt on Monday at 2:30 in Henning, play Menahga at 3:00pm Tuesday at NDSU, host Parkers Prairie on 7:00pm Thursday in their Senior Night game, and then travel to Pillager on Friday to complete a suspended game and play a regularly scheduled game.
