The Parkers Prairie baseball team traveled to Menahga to begin their busy week of games. The two teams were one out away from having the game go final when a bolt of lightning was spotted and the game was postponed. The two teams will finish the game on Monday when the Braves pay a visit to Parkers Prairie.
The Panthers have a 10-3 lead on the Braves. Holden Truax (4.2IP, 0R, 5K) was the starter and in control as the pitcher of record in this one. With the game tied 3-3, the Panthers opened things up in the fifth when they plated 7 runs, capped by a Dylan Debilzen no-doubt 3-run homer to put Parkers Prairie in front. Defensively, David Revering gunned down two base runners.
The Panther JV team kept rolling with a 10-2 victory over Menahga in a five-inning contest. Parkers Prairie was led by a solid pitching performance by AJ Woodworth and solid team defense. Chavous Wendt had a day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double. Ben Wagner had a run-scoring triple.
