The Alexandria girls’ golf team traveled to St. Cloud Monday to participate in their fourth Central Lakes Conference Meet of the spring.  The teams played the Wapicada Golf Club and had scoring conditions.  The sun was out, the temperature was a mild 70 degrees and there was very little wind.  Brainerd had their full lineup intact and shot a very good team score of 320, which was 15 shots better than the Cardinals.  Brainerd was led by Senior Izzy Olson who shot a 1-under par score of 71.

“We are looking forward to two good days of practice, where we will get an opportunity to really focus on our short games,” said Alexandria Head Coach Tim Zupfer.  “With our recent schedule, we have had limited practice time.  A positive is the depth of the team continues to be a strength, with a number of players posting scores counting towards our team score.  We are also getting into playing shape, having walked 18-hole rounds numerous times the past week and a half.”

1. Brainerd 320, 2. Alexandria 335, 3. Willmar 371, 4. Sartell 378, 5. Rocori 408, 6. St. Cloud Crush 425, 7. Sauk Rapids-Rice 446
